The AquaTru Carafe 4-stage filter technology

The AquaTru Carafe employs a total of 3 filters in its 4-stage reverse osmosis purification process. These filters are colour coded at the base, providing clear guidance on where to insert them. Please note that the filters used in the Carafe model are unique to this particular model and cannot be used interchangeably with other AquaTru purifiers.

The 3 AquaTru Carafe filters:

• Pre/Carbon filter: The pre-filter, encompassing stages 1 and 2, has a lifespan of six months or approximately 1100 litres, whichever comes first. This filter effectively reduces sand, silt, sediment, rust, and other particles present in the water. Additionally, the activated carbon component helps to minimize chlorine taste and odours while conditioning the water before it undergoes treatment by the reverse osmosis membrane.
• Reverse osmosis filter: The Reverse Osmosis Filter, representing stage 3, has a durability of 2 years or 2300 litres, whichever is reached first. Specifically engineered to tackle impurities in the water, this RO membrane reduces substances down to a scale of 1/10000 of a micron. It effectively addresses contaminants such as heavy metals, pesticides, medicine residuals, and more.
• Carbon VOC filter: The Carbon VOC Filter, stage 4 of the purification process, remains effective for one year or approximately 1100 litres, whichever comes first. Composed of high-quality activated carbon, this filter is designed to improve the taste of water and prepare it for consumption.
