Our advanced filters have different lifespans. When purchasing a filter package, you are guaranteed to add 1 or 2 years of extra filter capacity to your AquaTru Classic.

Do you like to drink alkaline drinking water? AquaTru Classic Alkaline contains an Alkaline VOC Carbon filter with pH+ Mineral Boost. This filter removes VOC contaminants, adds healthy minerals and alkalizes your drinking water. AquaTru Classic Alkaline is a complete water filtration system based on a 4-stage filtration with Ultra Reverse Osmosis®. The system removes 99% of all contaminants from tap water. The difference with AquaTru Classic is that AquaTru Classic Alkaline adds minerals to the filtered water in the last step of the filtration process. The result is pure mineral-rich alkaline drinking water. AquaTru Classic Alkaline has a capacity of 2.7 litres and is suitable for frequent use. The system fits on the countertop in the kitchen, in your practice room or on the counter or desk in your office.

    Features and benefits of the AquaTru Classic

    AquaTru Classic has a 4-stage water filtration based on reverse osmosis. The system is easy to use. After installing the filters and plugging them in, fill the rear water tank with tap water and the system will immediately start filtering. Within 12 to 15 minutes, the front water tank contains 2.7 litres of pure water. Subsequently press the blue dispenser button at the front of the unit and hold your glass underneath for freshly purified water. The water tank with filtered water is removable and can be put in the refrigerator. This tank is 19.69 cm high, 14.61 cm wide and 24.45 cm deep. AquaTru Classic is made of durable Tritan® plastic and is free of bisphenol A. Tritan plastic is also known for not leaking microplastics into the drinking water.

    Purification process

    AquaTru Classic filters tap water based on reverse osmosis. Fill the rear tank with tap water and the system does the rest. AquaTru Classic uses a multi-stage purification process, including a sediment filter, a pre-carbon filter, a reverse osmosis membrane and a post-carbon filter. Together, these filters remove contaminants from water such as chlorine, lead, arsenic, fluoride and more. The result is pure, clean and delicious water. The filtering process takes 12-15 minutes. You can also use the purified water for hot drinks or for cooking.

    "Clean water that has a bit of a fresh/sharp flavour profile. I wish it could have a smoother/rounder mouthfeel. We have also started boiling the RO water for our hot drinks. I've found there is less limescale in our appliance since doing this. The RO process is very quiet which we were pleased to discover. I've had to contact customer service once and their response was prompt. The only downside is that we are big water drinkers in our household, so the tank requires to be refilled often, which is a bit inconvenient owing to its shape and the lid being in the way (it would be good if they modified the design and made the lid to the tap water tank removable- this would make it easier to fill and wash)."
